Subject: THE COURAGEOUS RESOLUTION FOR MEN

Dear Special Men & Special Women:   This message is particularly for you men.  Ladies, please read this carefully also.   Men, if you did not see the movie Courageous, you need to.  Following is "The Resolution" from that movie.  This is one of the most important documents that we will see or pledge to, other than the Holy Bible, and of course God, Himself and your personal family.   

Men, I want you to carefully read this and then pray diligently about committing to every concept.  I am going to print this up, sign it, and have it witnessed, and then frame it and put it on my wall.  Everyday, I want to be reminded of my Job Description as a man... particularly when times are tough and I don't feel like performing or it seems impossible.   I encourage you men with all that is within me to do the same.  Women, you need to help your man to do these things and please, please cheer him on.    

Men, this is what life is really about, and frankly, this is the stand that a real man takes for life...period, no excuses, no selfishness, no pity parties.  By the power of God, lets get the job done!  If you are single or divorced, God will show you what to do if you will ask Him and take the time to listen diligently.   
                                          

THE COURAGEOUS  RESOLUTION FOR MEN

I DO solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife and my children.

I WILL love them, protect them, serve them, and teach them the Word of God as the spiritual leader of my home.

I WILL be faithful to my wife, to love and honor her, and be willing to lay down my life for her as Jesus Christ did for me.

I WILL bless my children and teach them to love God with all of their hearts, all of their minds, and all of their soul and strength.

I WILL train them to honor authority and live responsibly

I WILL confront evil, pursue justice and love mercy.

I WILL pray for others and treat them with kindness, respect and compassion.

I WILL work diligently to provide for the needs of my family.

I WILL forgive those who have wronged me and reconcile with those i have wronged.

I WILL learn from my mistakes, repent of my sins, and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God.

I WILL seek to honor God, be faithful to His church, obey His word The Holy Bible, and do his will.

I WILL courageously work with the strength God provides to fulfill this resolution, for the rest of my life and for his glory and honor.
